Bilyonaryo Robina Gokongwei-Pe is putting pharmacies where patients need them most.
The Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. chairwoman joined the launch of the first Southstar Drug pharmacy inside a Maxicare Clinic, introducing a one-stop healthcare setup that lets patients consult a doctor and pick up their medicines in the same location.
The pilot branch in Bonifacio Global City allows Maxicare members and walk-in patients to fill prescriptions, purchase health essentials and consult with a pharmacist without making a separate trip to a drugstore.

Photos shared by Robinsons Retail showed Robina attending the launch alongside executives from Southstar Drug and Maxicare as they unveiled the new concept.
Southstar Drug General Manager Thaddeus Sanchez said the goal is to eliminate the extra stop patients typically make after a consultation.
“After seeing a doctor, people should be able to get the medicines they need without another stop,” he said.
Maxicare Group president and CEO Christian Argos said the partnership creates a more seamless healthcare experience by integrating consultation and pharmacy services under one roof.
Following the launch, Southstar Drug and Maxicare said they are exploring the expansion of the in-clinic pharmacy model to more Maxicare branches nationwide.
Joining Robina at the ribbon-cutting were Equicom Group Chairman and Maxicare Group vice chairman Antonio Go, Maxicare Chief Experience Officer Raymond Hernandez, and senior executives from Southstar Drug and Robinsons Retail.
