Ultra biyonaryo Lucio Tan just hit the 92-year mark, and the crew at Philippine Airlines (PAL) pulled out all the stops to make sure their beloved chairman received the ultimate birthday shoutout.
PAL went full-on sentimental on social media, posting a tribute to the man who steered the airline’s growth and helped shape its corporate legacy.
“True leadership is defined by the lives we touch and the connections we build. Today, we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Lucio C. Tan, whose visionary guidance has shaped our 85-year legacy of genuine care,” the flag carrier said.
PAL wrapped up the post by wishing Kapitan as he is fondly called, continued health, joy, and success.
Born in China in 1934, Tan immigrated to the Philippines as a child. He worked as a cargo dock stevedore before building a conglomerate spanning aviation, banking, real estate, tobacco, beverages, and education.
