Pharmaceutical distributor Dyna Drug Corp. will source geothermal power from Lopez-led First Gen Corp. to run its warehouse facilities in Pasig and Quezon City.

The agreement, effective Nov. 26, 2025, will provide at least 145 kilowatts (kW) of renewable energy from First Gen’s Bacon-Manito geothermal plant in Bicol, operated by its subsidiary Energy Development Corporation.

Their strong commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with Dyna’s DNA of values and goals. Transitioning to more sustainable solutions for our operations and minimize our environmental footprint is our bold vision with tangible actions to improve the ecosystem,” Dyna Drug President Jacinto Dy said.

First Gen Chief Customer Engagement Officer Carlo Vega said: “The sensitive nature of the products they handle requires stable supply of 24/7 RE for its warehouse operations, which geothermal power is well-suited for…We are committed to deepening our partnership with Dyna Drug as they continue their decarbonization journey.”

Founded in 1915 as a grocery store, Dyna Drug now distributes to more than 3,000 retail drugstores nationwide.

First Gen operates over 1,700 megawatts of renewable energy across geothermal, hydro, wind, and solar facilities.—Bilyonaryo.com
