World Food Programme taps Landbank for cash aid releases

The World Food Programme (WFP) has availed the services of the Land Bank of the Philippines to simplify the distribution of aid in the Philippines.

The United Nations body signed a deal with Landbank president and CEO Lynette Ortiz to facilitate cash distribution to beneficiaries for WFP’s Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) Program.

The CBT program gives financial aid so that poor families can buy food, medicines, and other essential needs across the Philippines.
