The cinemas at Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro City will close down for good in March 2025.

In a Facebook post, the mall management said the last screening day will be on February 28.

“Thank you to everyone who went out to see a movie or two during its lifetime. Expect a better mall experience in its place this 2025,” the advisory read.

Limketkai Sons Chairman and President Alfonso Lim is facing qualified theft charges filed by his brother, Benito Lim, and nephew, Benhan Limketikai, for allegedly misusing some P285 million in corporate funds.

Alfonso, however, has maintained that he is fully authorized to disburse funds from the Limketkai Group.
