Cemex Holdings Philippines Inc. is rebranding as Concreat Holdings Philippines Inc. following shareholder approval, marking the cement producer’s transition to new ownership under bilyonaryo Sid Consunji.
The name change was cleared during a virtual special stockholders’ meeting on Wednesday, reflecting the exit of Mexico’s Cemex from its Philippine operations after the Consunji family’s acquisition of the business.
Shareholders also approved measures to expand the company’s board to nine directors from eight and to move the annual stockholders’ meeting to the first Monday of May, according to a stock exchange filing.
