A TikTok user recently warned of a surge in aggressive phone snatchings, citing multiple instances of people losing their devices while on calls.
The user pinpointed Paseo de Roxas and Salcedo as hotspots for these incidents.
While city officials have increased patrols, the user cautioned that some snatchers are now disguising themselves as delivery riders or ride-hailing drivers, wearing uniforms from services like Angkas or Move It to evade suspicion.
