Kerry Tinga has always made time to immerse herself in a good book.
Beyond her passions for art, food, and writing, Kerry’s love for reading stands out. She even maintains a dedicated Instagram account to share her favorite reads.
In a recent Instagram story, Kerry highlighted her latest read, Know My Name by Chanel Miller. This critically acclaimed 2019 memoir recounts Miller’s experience as a survivor of sexual assault, her battle with trauma, and her journey toward healing.
The book gained widespread attention due to Miller’s case, which involved Stanford athlete Brock Turner, who was convicted and controversially sentenced to six months in jail for the assault.
Moved by Miller’s storytelling, Kerry described the memoir as deeply impactful. She wrote, “Powerful not only because of the watershed event it intimately describes and sheds personal light on, but because of Miller’s own arresting prose.”
