Sta. Lucia’s growth path: Exie Robles to introduce 35 residential projects

Sta Lucia Land, led by property magnate Exequiel Robles, plans to launch 35 residential projects over the next two to three years, banking on increased demand following anticipated interest rate reductions.

Robles said Sta Lucia will increase recurring income from developing commercial properties adjacent to the builder’s residential communities.

Over the next two to three years, Sta Lucia plans to develop residential projects nationwide, consisting of 19 horizontal developments and 16 residential towers.

“Commercial properties adjacent to our residential communities are under consideration for development and partnership to enhance recurring income,” Robles said.

He added that the properties under consideration have a combined footprint of 2.1 million square meters.

Sta Lucia is gearing up to build estates to expand its purely residential development base and compete with its larger rivals, who are rolling out residential, commercial, and office hubs,” CFO Dave Dela Cruz told in February.

At end-2023, Sta Lucia had 110 ongoing residential projects with 102 horizontal developments and 8 residential towers in 17 provinces, Robles said.

In 2023, Sta Lucia added 4.8 million square meters to its expansive landbank through acquisitions and joint ventures.

The properties are located in Gen Trias, Cavite; Binan and Mabitac in Laguna; Bauan, Lian, Lipa, Nasugbu, and Sto Tomas in Batangas; Antipolo, Baras, Pililla, Tanay, and Taytay in Rizal; Plaridel in Bulacan; Urdaneta in Pangasinan; Jaro in Iloilo; Koronadal and Polomolok in South Cotabato; and Samal City in Davao.
