Splendid! Lea Salonga to get a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore

Broadway actress and singer Lea Salonga will join the list of Filipino icons who will be immortalized through a wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum in Singapore.

The museum made the announcement in a video posted on its Instagram account, which showed Salonga meeting with a team to get her measurements for the wax figure.

“Shining, Shimmering, Splendid! The legendary Lea Salonga will have her very own wax figure in #MadameTussuadsSG! Are you as excited as we are?” the caption read.

Salonga made a name globally as a theater performer and the voice of iconic Disney characters like Mulan and Princess Jasmine.

She also gained acclaim by playing the original Kim in the musical “Miss Saigon.”

To date, the Filipinos who have wax figures in Madame Tussauds Singapore are: boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, actress Anne Curtis and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
