Consunji firm takes over construction of final Cavitex C5 segment

D.M. Consunji, a major construction firm, secured a P3.3 billion contract to build Segment 3B of the CAVITEX C5 Link, a project expected to improve traffic flow in the capital.

Segment 3B will connect with existing operational segments (3A-1 and 3A-2) of the CAVITEX C5 Link.

Construction of this segment is targeted to start by the second half of 2024 and is expected to be operational by next year. Segment 2 is on track to open next month.

Once finished, the entire 7.7-kilometer CAVITEX C5 Link will seamlessly connect CAVITEX R-1 to C5 Road in Taguig, benefiting an estimated 50,000 motorists daily and enhancing regional mobility.

The CAVITEX C5 Link project is part of MPTC’s extensive toll road network.

Other key projects include the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), NLEX Connector Road, and Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).
