Smart Communications, Inc. has partnered with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to strengthen their fight against scammers.
This collaboration involves integrating DICT’s eGov PH app (eGOV) into the SIM Registration process.
eGOV offers Filipinos a one-stop online platform for accessing various government services across local and national agencies.
Roy Cecil D. Ibay, Smart’s VP and head of Regulatory Affairs said this collaboration builds on ongoing efforts with DICT to protect its subscribers from text scams, bank fraud, phishing, and other communication-based threats.
Their collective efforts aim to bridge the digital divide and empower more Filipino communities through internet access.
