Philippine digital asset platform PDAX is bracing for potential market gyrations as the highly anticipated Bitcoin halving event approaches.
PDAX chief executive officer Nichel Gaba acknowledged the platform’s challenges during a previous Bitcoin price surge.
However, he stressed significant improvements in security and stability to ensure a seamless user experience during periods of high activity.
The Bitcoin halving, which cuts the reward for mining new bitcoins, has historically coincided with increased market activity and price volatility.
This anticipation is further fueled by the recent US approval of spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), easing investor entry into the market.
Vincent Tio, head of Platform Solutions at PDAX, highlighted ongoing preparations for the halving, predating the ETF approval.
They are collaborating with various organizations to ensure robust and secure systems for users to easily and securely participate in the market.
Launched in 2018 and regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, PDAX offers a secure platform for trading over 70 digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and tokenized bonds.
The platform plans to further expand its offerings in the future.
