Phinma Corp. , the listed holding company of the family of bilyonaryo Ramon del Rosario, has established an initial seed fund of P50 million for the Phinma-DLSU Center for Business and Society.
In commemoration of Phinma’s 67th anniversary, Del Rosario, the company’s chairman and CEO, articulated the company’s mission to contribute to building a better Philippines, particularly for the underserved segments of society.
Del Rosario expressed optimism that the business center would emerge as a leading advocate for the positive impact of business.
The center will conduct research to enhance the curriculum of the College of Business at De La Salle University, with the goal of extending improvements to other educational institutions.
Del Rosario underscored the belief that businesses and business leaders, given their substantial resources and influence, have a responsibility to contribute to the betterment of the country and people’s lives.
He highlighted the need for collaboration among businesses to address societal issues more effectively.

Having its roots in the cement sector, Phinma has expanded its operations to encompass a diverse portfolio that includes steel, housing, business process outsourcing, energy, real estate, and education.
