Lawyer Estrella Elamparo, representing Mica Tan of MFT Group of Companies, dismissed concerns regarding the nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) required for creditors and investors, saying that such clauses are standard in business contracts.
Elamparo underscored the vital role of NDAs in protecting proprietary information and preventing client poaching within the business landscape.
NDAs, or confidentiality agreements, serve to maintain the secrecy of shared information between parties.
Investors seeking to fund potential opportunities may encounter NDAs as a means for companies to safeguard their trade secrets. However, some investors may choose not to sign these agreements, deeming them burdensome, especially if they decide against pursuing the investment opportunity.
