Leading super app Grab Philippines is closely monitoring the outcome of its new earning model, which has received positive feedback from leaders of the Grab rider community.
Leaders within Grab’s delivery-partner community have reported stable to slightly increased earnings following the implementation of the restructured earning model.
Grab said that the initial results of the effort-based model’s implementation in Metro Manila over the past two weeks attest to its efficacy.
Rider leaders indicate that the new effort-based model addresses their existing concerns by incorporating pick-up distance and merchant waiting time in their earnings computation.
These leaders are advocating for continued collaboration with Grab to assess and calibrate the earning model in response to emerging trends and the ever-evolving macroeconomic landscape.
Grab is currently complementing the effort-based model with guaranteed minimum fares and holistic incentive programs to ensure earning viability for riders.
Meanwhile, Grab has warned against the spread of misinformation aiming to malign the company and the new earning model to the delivery-partners.
Grab vows to impose sanctions on entities that disseminate false information both within and outside the Grab delivery-partner community.
The company urges its delivery-partners to approach any rider leader to clarify their questions and check relevant content shared via the Grab driver app.
