Bilyonaryo Injap Sia’s DoubleDragon Properties is advancing the US expansion of its Filipino Hotel101 brand as it secured a prime property in Los Angeles.
The subsidiary responsible for this strategic move, Hotel101 Global Pte Ltd, has successfully acquired a 3,647 square meter corner lot in California, completing the trio of overseas locations for Hotel101, which also include Japan and Spain.
Hotel101 Global CEO, Hannah Yulo-Luccini, said: “This step completes the first three strategic overseas sites of Hotel101 located in Japan, Spain, and the USA, and is set to enable Hotel101 to transcend as a truly global brand.”
Anticipated as the inaugural Hotel101 venture in the US, the Los Angeles property is designed to accommodate 622 units, pending entitlement and zoning approvals.
Noteworthy features of the upcoming establishment include a substantial convention center and function rooms, in addition to the standard Hotel101 facilities.
The Hotel101-Los Angeles site is strategically accessible, situated near Highway 101 and approximately a 20-minute drive from Los Angeles International Airport. Its proximity to key landmarks such as Downtown LA, Dodger Stadium, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills adds to its appeal.
DoubleDragon envisions the project generating sales revenues of approximately $183 million or P10.3 billion once operational, underlining the company’s ambitious strides in the global hospitality market.
