Bianca books ticket in CME Tour Championship

Bianca Pagdanganan closed with an eagle-aided three-under-par 67 in The Annika to book a spot in the CME Tour Championship next week.

The 26-year-old finished on 10-under for joint 19th and more importantly boosted her season standing by five notches.

She ended up in 55th place.

Pagdanganan opened with 12 straight pars before making her first birdie on 13.

An eagle on the par-5 14th brought her to 3-under for the day but Pagdanganan made her first and only bogey on 17 before finishing with a birdie.

On 10-under, she finished in joint 19th spot, nine shots behind winner Lilia Vu.

Her ball striking was on full display on Sunday. She averaged 310 yards off the tee and hit 13 of 14 fairways and 16 of 18 greens.

Two months ago, Pagdanganan was merely battling to regain her LPGA card despite limited appearances. She also had little success in the second-tier Epson Tour where she had only one Top 10 finish in 10 starts.

Then came the turnaround.

She tied for third in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship last September and shared second in The Ascendant LPGA last month.

Pagdanganan has broken par in her last 12 rounds, the longest streak she had since she turned pro three years ago.
