With butler on call: Kevin Tan promises ‘most luxurious’ experience at Uptown Mall’s bed cinema

Moviegoers will have the ultimate relaxing experience watching the latest film at the first ever bed cinema in the country at Megaworld’s Uptown Mall in Taguig.

Kevin Tan, the chief executive officer of the Alliance Global Group Inc., Megaworld’s parent company, shared in a Facebook post what moviegoers could expect at the Uptown Tempur Cinema.

“With the latest Dolby Atmos technology, this cinema showcases 28 premium seats equipped with fully reclining Tempur beds, mattresses, and pillows, giving patrons the opportunity to indulge in the latest blockbusters on the big screen while enjoying utmost comfort,” he said.

Tan said moviegoers can even call a butler by pressing a button should they need assistance with food and drinks. Beds are maintained by personnel trained by Megaworld Hotels and Resorts after each screening, he added.

Going to the Uptown Tempur Cinema could become so comfortable, it wouldn’t be a surprise if moviegoers drift off to dreamland while the film is on screen.
