Close to 2,000 players have signed up for the fifth Bong Pineda Cup golf tournament slated December 15 to 20 at the Pradera Verde Golf and Country Club in Lubao, Pampanga.
The annual event, held in honor of the Pineda patriarch, is putting up more than P30 million worth of prizes, topped by four vehicles.
Participants get a chance to win a brand-new 2023 Ford Raptor or a 2023 Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 that will be raffled off at the close of the tournament. Entry fee is P10,000 per player.
Another set of Raptor and Land Cruiser will be given away to lucky non-golfers who purchase P3,000 raffle tickets.
Hole-in-one prizes include cars, golf carts and P300,000 cash.
Due to the big number of participants, the event is spread to six days.
The event was revived last year following a two-year absence due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Expected to take part are personalities from business, politics and entertainment.
