Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC), a global fast-food giant founded by bilyonaryo Tony Tan Caktiong, is poised to make its much-anticipated debut in the state of Michigan, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing global expansion strategy.
According to a report by The Oakland Press, JFC’s inaugural Michigan location is slated to occupy a 2,500-square-foot property just off Hall Road (M-59), directly in front of the bustling Lakeside Mall.
The branch is in the final stages of preparations for its imminent opening. Gabe Schuchman, the managing director of the firm responsible for securing the property on behalf of JFC, has been cited in the report confirming the development.
To ensure its growth, JFC has earmarked P19 billion this year to open 550 to 600 new stores. Recent strategic moves have further underlined JFC’s commitment to expansion, including its acquisition of a majority stake in the master franchisee of the Jollibee brand in Hong Kong.
With an extensive footprint of over 6,500 stores worldwide, the JFC Group boasts a diversified multi-brand portfolio that includes iconic names such as Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Yong He King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, Mang Inasal, Burger King, Highlands Coffee, Smashburger, Tim Ho Wan, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Panda Express, Yoshinoya, and Milksha.
JFC’s expansion into Michigan signals its ambition to capture new markets and cater to a diverse array of tastes, reinforcing its status as a global powerhouse in the fast-food industry.
