ABS-CBN Corp., the Lopez family’s media conglomerate, is exploring all avenues and remedies in response to the denial by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) of its request to lift the 12-day suspension imposed on its popular noontime program, “It’s Showtime.”
The MTRCB imposed the suspension in the wake of specific actions by the hosts of “It’s Showtime” during a segment that aired on July 25.
“While the imposed suspension has not yet attained finality and enforceability, we wish to assure our viewers that ‘It’s Showtime’ will continue to grace screens on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and GTV,” reassured ABS-CBN.
The network expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering love and support it has received from its audience and affirmed its commitment to bringing joy and inspiration to its viewers.
