After facing adultery charges filed by businessman Victor Consunji and months of negative publicity, Maggie Wilson and Tim Connor have taken to Instagram to highlight how the law is being used to oppress women in the country.
Through a series of Instagram posts, Maggie shared Tim’s IG stories in which he received countless direct messages from women accused of adultery by their husbands in an attempt to win custody of their children.
In response, netizens also rallied behind the embattled beauty queen, making Maggie a trending topic on X (formerly Twitter), and she also addressed disinformation used to smear her reputation, leveraging the power of content creators to harm others.
Sabi na coordinated ang online attack kay Maggie Wilson & ACASA MNL these past few days. Umamin na ang mga “influencers” na they were paid 8K each to make a video attacking Maggie. These are the 4 who promptly apologized. pic.twitter.com/tkSQXuh1jB

It’s disturbing how money can buy their souls. I hope Maggie Wilson will pursue filing a case against these content creators who are willing to ruin someone’s reputation in exchange of 8k. Tiktok and other social media sites should deplatform these trolls! Ang lala. 🤮 https://t.co/LJHTriYNX8 pic.twitter.com/7SzOIFvGSW

This issue with Maggie Wilson just highlights how easy it is to find content creators (?) who will willingly spread disinformation and destroy someone just to get money. And we know most are apoligizing just because they got caught reading a script.

This coordinated smear attack to Maggie Wilson will reflect how it is gonna ba a very very sad influencer marketing industry. Content creators, you are not just persona with numbers. You have social responsibilities to your society. Hindi puro pera dito. 🥺 pic.twitter.com/ey6JtvG7Mt
