The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) has engaged the services of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) to aid in its restructuring efforts, which are geared toward the privatization of its casino operations.
PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco emphasized the importance of DAP’s assistance in meeting the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) requirements.
These requirements are essential for the implementation of a compensation and position classification system (CPCS) before privatization.
The DAP is a government-owned and controlled corporation with a mission to aid agencies and local government units in their development initiatives.
It serves as a catalyst for change and a capacity builder, aiding in the formulation of new government policies, the creation of development programs, and the modernization of management structures in both government agencies and private enterprises.
Tengco also expressed his desire to involve DAP in organizing and conducting training sessions for PAGCOR personnel to enhance their skills and competencies.
