Tariff Commission sets hearing to lower rice tariffs to 10%

The Tariff Commission has scheduled a hearing on the proposal to lower tariffs on rice from 35% to 10% on September 15.

The TC has given interested parties until September 14 to submit their slide presentations for the scheduled hearing.

According to the TC, the Foundation for Economic Freedom Inc. filed the petition to reduce the tariff on rice to 10%. FEF is the same organization that advocated for a reduction in pork tariffs.
