GMA Network Inc. said it continues to assert its digital supremacy in news and entertainment with over 24 billion combined views on two major social media platforms during the first eight months of the year.
Recent data from Tubular showed that GMA Network’s News and Entertainment pages have taken the lead on Facebook, accumulating 18.2 billion video views within the same period. In contrast, the Lopez-led ABS-CBN registered 13,.63 billion views, trailing behind the Kapuso Network.
On TikTok, GMA Network’s News and Entertainment accounts have notched up 5.8 billion views from January to August. In the face of strong competition, ABS-CBN managed to garner 5.05 billion views.
In August alone, the network owned by the Gozon-Duavit-Jimenez families amassed 3.67 billion consolidated video views across all its news and entertainment accounts, surpassing ABS-CBN, which secured 2.69 billion total video views.
GMA remains the go-to destination for netizens seeking the latest news and inspiring stories, even on Facebook. GMA Public Affairs’ official Facebook page garnered a total of 199.88 million views, with GMA News close behind at 194.39 million views in August.
ABS-CBN News and News 5 pages trailed behind, managing only 76.76 million and 5.08 million views, respectively.
