Vice Ganda is banking on his charm to win back Shopee customers who were turned off by the decision to tap Toni Gonzaga as brand ambassador.
The multi-platform celebrity was launched as Shopee’s new endorser ahead of the “-ber” months when shopping usually picks up pace.
Vice had a short but cute post in time for his debut on the e-commerce platform owned by Singaporean billionaire Forrest Li.
“Nakapag reinstall na ba lahat? Happy Sunday!,” Vice Ganda posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Gonzaga had a short-lived stint as Shopee endorser in October 2022. Critics not only bashed her association with the Marcos administration, but also questioned the need to hire her at the time when several employees of the platform were laid off.
The criticism against Gonzaga went to the extent of several users deleting the shopping app from their gadgets.
Nakapag reinstall na ba lahat? Happy Sunday! 🧡🧡🧡
