Todd Clements claimed a maiden European Tour title after a bogey-free final round of 63 gave him a one-shot triumph over Matt Wallace in the Czech Masters on Sunday.

The Englishman made three hat-tricks of birdies from the first, sixth and 11th to finish at 22 under for the tournament.

Compatriot Wallace was also bogey-free on Sunday with a closing 67.

“Given the circumstances that’s got to be the best round of my life,” said Clements.

“I’m over the moon. I’ve dreamt about winning for a long time and with my birthday coming up on Tuesday I couldn’t be happier.”

Nicolai Hojgaard carded a 69 to finish four shots off the lead, one clear of Robert MacIntyre.
