Consider this as bilyonaryo Manny Pangilinan’s swan song.

The big boss of the Meralco and PLDT Group said he is proud to finish his term as a member of the International Basketball Federation or FIBA’s central board with a resounding bang as he leads the Philippines’ historic hosting of FIBA World Cup games from August 25 to September 10, 2023.

“This is my last official act in the FIBA central board,” the bilyonaryo and basketball aficionado said.

“My exit does not mean the end of our basketball engagement with FIBA. I assure you that SBP (Samahang Basketbol sa Pilipinas) and myself will remain supporters and devout evangelists of FIBA,” Pangilinan added.

Let the games begin!
