Check the source: Petron warns vs bogus investment schemes

BILYONARYO.COM

Bilyonaryo Ramon Ang’s Petron Corp. issued a public warning against new scams using the gasoline station chain’s brand to solicit investments.

Several fake Facebook pages branded as “Petron Stock Exchange” and “Petron Stock Exchange Investment Advisory” are collecting money from unknowing investors with the claim that they will gain part-ownership of the popular gasoline retailer and make good profits.

“We enjoin the public to be wary of websites and social media accounts using the name of Petron to attract investors,” the official Petron advisory read. “Our fundraising activities are announced through the proper channels such as Petron’s official website and social media accounts, while transactions are facilitated only by our authorized bank partners and selling agents.”
