ABS-CBN’s Kane Errol Choa to lead International Association of Business Communicators Asia-Pacific Region

International Association of Business Communicators Asia Pacific Region (IABC APAC) has appointed ABS-CBN’s VP for Corporate Communications, Kane Errol Choa, as its chairman.

This esteemed professional organization is dedicated to advancing the field of business communication throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Choa will be joined on the IABC APAC board by two ccommunication leaders from the Philippine banking industry. Liza Vengco, VP for Marketing Communication at RCBC, will serve as the Awards and Recognition Director, while Anthony Alcantara, AVP and Wealth Insights editor-in chief at Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company, will take on the role of brand and communications director.

Comprising of 11 chapters across eight countries, IABC APAC plays a pivotal role in promoting communication excellence in the region.

The organization is responsible for hosting significant events such as the Fusion regional conference, the prestigious Silver Quill Awards, and the Communicator of the Year Awards.

With an illustrious career spanning 29 years in media and communications, Choa brings a wealth of experience to his new role as chair.

Previously serving as the vice chair and the Awards and Recognition director for IABC APAC, Choa’s exceptional leadership has garnered recognition, including the Gold Quill award from IABC, the Silver Quill award from IABC APAC, and the Philippine Quill award from IABC PH, all in recognition of his outstanding contributions to ABS-CBN.
