International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), the largest independent port operator in the world, has lost one of its longest-serving officers.
ICTSI said it was “deeply saddened” by the demise of its VP for regulatory affairs Jose Manuel M. De Jesus on June 22. He was 58.
He joined the firm in 1995 as executive assistant to the chairman, ultra bilyonaryo Ricky Razon.
He was a chairman of ICTSI’s ports in Bauan (Batangas), South Cotabato, Davao, and Laguna (inland). He is also a director of IW Cargo Handlers, Manila North Harbor, Cordilla Property Holdings, Australian Container Terminals, ICTSI Far East and Abbotsford Holdings (where he was also president).
The De La Salle University Industrial Management graduate used to be ICTSI’s business development head for Asia and Americas, director strategic planning of regional development in Miami and Dubai, and the general manager of Thai Laemchabang Terminals.
