Shopping on Sunday? BPI’s debit card unusable for 12 hours on June 25

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) debit cardholders should plan their shopping and dining schedules accordingly on Sunday (June 25), as there will be a 12-hour downtime for debit card services.

The Ayala-owned bank announced that there will be a system maintenance activity for BPI Debit Mastercard products on June 25 from 12:01 a.m. until 12 p.m. During that period, debit cards cannot be used for ATM transactions, cash machine transactions, point-of-sale payments, as well as online payments.

“Our BPI Debit EMV Cirrus Card (Red and Gold), Credit Card, and Prepaid Card services will remain accessible. Please plan your transactions accordingly,” BPI added.
