The cash utilization rate of government agencies has reached 91 percent as of May 2023, according to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
This means that a substantial portion of the allocated funds has been effectively utilized during the period from January to May this year.
Out of the total P1.71 trillion earmarked for this period through notices of cash allocation, P1.57 trillion has already been utilized by government agencies.
Despite the substantial utilization of funds, there remains P146.18 billion in unutilized funds during the period.
These funds, which are still available, can be utilized by government agencies to support their operations programs and projects.
The high utilization rate of NCAs reflects the efficient implementation of allocated funds by the line agencies.
