Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) has announced the appointment of Rogelio “Babes” Singson as its president and CEO effective this month following the retirement of Rodrigo Franco.
Singson, a seasoned public servant, will lead MPTC in its customer-centric approach and oversee its expressway operations in the Philippines and ASEAN region.
He brings extensive experience from his previous roles, including president and CEO of Metro Pacific Water Investments Corporation and secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Franco, who has been with the MPTC Group of Companies for over 20 years, served in various leadership roles, including CFO, president, and CEO of Manila North Tollways Corporation, now known as NLEX Corp.
He also expanded MPTC’s expressway foothold in the Visayas-Mindanao area through Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corp., builder of the country’s longest and iconic toll bridge CCLEX; and the ASEAN region through investments in Indonesian infrastructure conglomerate Nusantara Infrastructure, and Vietnam’s CII Bridges and Roads.
Under his leadership, the company experienced remarkable growth in terms of kilometers, vehicle entries, and revenues in both local and international business scenes.
