Seamless transactions and real-time foreign exchange: GCash extends services to key European countries

GCash, the Philippines’ leading e-wallet, has announced the expansion of its cross-border payment service to key European countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy.

The enhanced partnership between GCash and Alipay+ marks a significant step towards delivering a frictionless and secure payment experience for users during their international travels. This strategic collaboration enables GCash to offer real-time foreign exchange services without imposing any service fees, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free transaction process.

With the alliance, GCash users gain seamless access to an extensive array of merchants and stores across various European destinations including Harrods, Liberty London, and Harvey Nichols in the UK, Printemps in France, and Müller and dm-drogerie markt in Germany.

In Italy, the collaboration extends to encompass itTaxi and IVS Group, a renowned leader in the vending machines market.

Apart from the newly added European destinations, GCash can be used for payments at select merchants in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Qatar.

GCash is now accessible to more Filipinos worldwide as the GCash app can be used with international numbers in countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Japan, Italy, and Australia.
