Ultra bilyonaryo Enrique K. Razon Jr.’s International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) is set to establish a direct service connecting Pakistan and Australia in collaboration with Singaporean shipping line SeaLead.
This strategic partnership aims to facilitate efficient trade connections between South Asian and Australian markets through ICTSI’s subsidiary, Pakistan International Container Terminal Limited (PICT), operating at the Port of Karachi.
The newly launched ASI service by SeaLead, facilitated by PICT, will offer both shipper-owned and carrier-owned container handling.
This development is expected to greatly benefit importers and exporters by providing a faster and more cost-effective route with direct access to Asian and Australian ports.
This initiative has the potential to spur the emergence of new businesses and growth areas within the economies involved.
PICT, in its pursuit of strengthening trade relationships with global customers and meeting growing trade demands, welcomes the arrival of this service at the Port of Karachi.
Positioned as a commercial hub connecting diverse geographical regions, Pakistan stands to benefit from the PICT-SeaLead partnership by bolstering its foreign trade through improved access to and from Australian markets.
