PLDT, the telecommunications giant led by bilyonaryo Manny Pangilinan, reported that fiber internet connections have slowed down as of Monday evening (June 5).
In a social media advisory, PLDT said that one of its submarine cable partners reported a “loss in some of its internet bandwidth capacity” that led to slower internet browsing.
Netizens noticed the change as early as Monday afternoon.

As of 6 a.m., or 12 hours after the notice, PLDT said additional capacity has been installed by the submarine cable providers to bring internet speeds back to normal. PLDT advises clients to restart wifi routers to bring their internet speed back to normal.
