Actor Paolo Contis, and celebrity twins Mavy and Cassy Legaspi took the center stage in the revamped noontime show. They were joined by comedian Betong Sumaya, former child actor Buboy Villar and Alexa Miro, a budding actress who has been romantically linked to presidential son and Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos.
The Legaspi twins are contract artists of Sparkle, GMA Network’s talent management arm.
Senator JV Ejercito wasn’t impressed with the new lineup. “The ‘new’ Eat Bulaga! Parang kailangan nila lagyan ng name plates ang ibang talents,” he tweeted.

Several viewers were so disappointed with the new hosts, they either shut their televisions off or tuned in to ABS-CBN’s noontime show, It’s Showtime!
“Nanood ako ng bagong eat bulaga walang dating.Mas gusto ko pang matulog kaysa manood,” he added.
Sana hindi na lang nangbastos ang Tape today sa haligi ng EB 🙁 respect po sana. Pwede naman dahil sa respeto nakilala ang Eat Bulaga.

The trio known as TVJ announced their exit from TAPE Inc. on May 31 after a months-long disagreement with the Jalosjos family, which owns the production firm.
Other “Dabarkads” or original hosts of Eat Bulaga, such as Allan K, Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Maine Mendoza, subsequently resigned.
