From Kapuso to Kapatid: Joey de Leon hints at Eat Bulaga’s transfer to TV5

The Dabarkads led by the trio of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon might soon be seen on TV5 at noontime.

De Leon hinted about the transfer of the comedic trio known as TVJ following their much talked about exit from TAPE Inc., the production firm behind the long-running noontime show Eat Bulaga!.

“Sabi ko noon, we are not signing off, we are just taking a day-off. In other words, pahinga muna. In Engish, TAKE FIVE! ,” said De Leon in an Instagram post Saturday (June 3) featuring a photo of him with the Sotto brothers.

TVJ’s transfer to TV5 would be a welcome development for the Manny Pangilinan-owned network, which has perennially ranked a far second to GMA Network after ABS-CBN lost its franchise in 2020.
