Erwan receives prestigious James Beard Medal for Social Media

Erwan Heussaff’s years of hard work in creating food related content has finally paid off.

After being nominated for the prestigious James Beard medal for Social Media Account category of Broadcast Media Awards, a yearly recognition bestowed by the James Beard Foundation on outstanding chefs, restaurateurs, authors, and journalists in the United States, he was announced the winner among a stacked pool of nominees.

The award was named after James Beard, who, in his lifetime, earned the monicker “Dean of American Cookery” from his colourful career as a food writer and cookbook author.

Erwan took to Instagram to share a moment of pride and nervousness, capturing a snapshot of himself donning a short-sleeved barong—a symbol of the Philippines.

Adorned with the coveted medal around his neck, he stood as a representative of his country, showcasing his accomplishment to his followers.

“I’m still shaking. We made it!!” he said.
