GMA Network and its chief executive officer, bilyonaryo Felipe Gozon, reportedly gave the cold shoulder to Tito and Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon, when they locked horns with the Jalosjos-owned TAPE Inc. over “Eat Bulaga!”
Tito took a swipe at GMA’s apparent favoritism following the exit of the trio known as TVJ from the popular noontime show on May 31. Their resignation snowballed into the departure of other “Eat Bulaga!” hosts, including Paolo Ballesteros, Maine Mendoza, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo and Allan K.
“GMA never talked to us,” Sotto said in an interview.
“We were just wondering why they never reached out. Probably mas friendly sila kay romy for some reason or another,” he added, referring to Romeo Jalosjos, TAPE’s chairman.
TAPE announced on Thursday (June 1) that it is putting together a new show to fill “Eat Bulaga!’s” noontime slot, since the company has a blocktime agreement with GMA until 2024.
