First Gen Corp., a subsidiary of the Lopez Group, has initiated an invitation to bid (ITB) for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) spot tender to be delivered to its LNG terminal in Batangas.
The ITB specifies that First Gen is seeking to procure a single cargo of LNG on a delivered ex-ship (DES) basis through its wholly-owned subsidiary, First Gen Singapore Pte. Ltd.
The LNG acquired through this tender will be utilized by First Gen’s existing gas-fired power plants in the First Gen Clean Energy Complex located in Batangas.
ITB has invited bids from experienced LNG suppliers for the supply of one LNG cargo on a delivered ex-ship basis at the Subic Bay Freeport in Zambales.
The cargo will then be loaded into the BW Batangas vessel after the necessary gassing-up and cooling-down processes utilizing the delivered LNG cargo.
The delivery window for the LNG cargo is set from August 1 to September 30, 2023, with a volume of 154,500 cubic meters.
First Gen plans to award the contract to the selected bidder on July 6.
