BSP, BDO Foundation join forces to launch online course on financial education

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the BDO Foundation have solidified their collaboration with the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) aimed at creating a free online course on financial education.

This initiative, known as the “FinEd e-Learning Course,” will comprise nine interactive modules covering various aspects of personal finance.

In line with the BSP’s commitment to promoting widespread access to high-quality financial services, Governor Felipe M. Medalla expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “We welcome such collaborations that allow us to reach and serve more Filipinos.”

BDO Foundation president Mario A. Deriquito emphasized the importance of enhancing financial literacy and well-being: “Through borderless learning, we will make FinEd on-demand and accessible to everyone—whether you are in Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, or even abroad. We are excited to see the impact of this project on the lives of many Filipinos.”

The FinEd e-Learning Course will cover a wide range of topics, including financial planning, saving and budgeting, debt and investment management, digital financial literacy, fraud and scam prevention, the Personal d Retirement Account, and financial consumer protection.

By expanding the reach and accelerating the implementation of financial education programs in the country, the course aims to empower individuals through free and accessible learning opportunities.
