During the company’s virtual annual stockholders meeting, ABS-CBN president Carlo Katigbak expressed their willingness to collaborate with any partner that can help bring their programs to a wider audience, including those in free TV, pay TV, and online streaming.
The media giant has already made significant strides in this direction, having recently signed a joint venture agreement with Speaker Martin Romualdez’s Prime Media Holdings Inc. to produce a diverse range of content and programs.
ABS-CBN has also established partnerships with notable industry players such as GMA Network Inc., TV5 Network Inc., Zoe Broadcasting, AMBS, Netflix, Viu, iQiyi, and WeTV.
Katigbak emphasized their goal of expanding viewership to a much larger base than before, acknowledging that ABS-CBN’s identity goes beyond being just a broadcaster. He stated that storytelling lies at the heart and soul of the company, and they will focus on creating narratives that inform and inspire.
