Ayala-led Globe Telecom said on Monday it is making progress in registering its revenue-generating customer base, with around 85 percent already registered within the extended 90-day period.
Despite a slowdown in SIM registration volume across the market, Globe remains optimistic about meeting its target.
Darius Delgado, head of Globe Consumer Mobile Business, expressed confidence in achieving full registration for their entire revenue-generating base within the given timeframe. He cited the company’s initiatives and measures in place to facilitate the process.
To simplify registration, Globe has made GCash a channel for fully verified Globe and TM users to register their SIMs conveniently.
Additionally, the company continues to operate SIM-assisted registration booths and plans to expand their presence, particularly in rural areas where registration rates have been lower. Customers can also seek assistance at Globe’s 144 Stores and 25 EasyHubs nationwide.
Globe is dedicated to ensuring compliance with the SIM Registration Act and is collaborating with local government units, groceries, and malls to establish assisted registration booths in remote locations.
