Anywhere but Philippine Arena! Concert fans beg PULP Live World: Choose Manila venues

Concert fans are pleading with events organizer Pulp Live World to hold concerts at venues in Metro Manila instead of the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.

Netizens have tagged PULP Chief Executive Officer Vernon Go in tweets expressing their frustration at the tediousness of going to Philippine Arena just to see world class acts perform.

Among their gripes are the distance of the venue, the absence of public transport, as well as the lack of accommodation and commercial spaces where fans can stay while waiting for the event.

Concertgoers have suggested that PULP instead hold its events at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City or Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The Twitter discussion was jumpstarted by proposals to bring back Korean group NCT Dream to the country. One of the possible concert venues mentioned was the New Clark City stadium in Tarlac.

A netizen said any venue is preferable except the Philippine Arena, which is owned by Iglesia Ni Cristo.

Pinoy Blinks who watched Blackpink’s recent concert at the Philippine Arena have complained that it took them an hour or so to leave the parking lot due to the volume of vehicles and the absence of multiple exits.

Some netizens have also advised concertgoers to go to the venue in the morning even if an event would be held at night because of the difficulty of finding parking space.
