President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has expressed gratitude to the so-called “Magnificent 7” Pinoy bilyonaryos who flew to the United States with him to court foreign investors.
Marcos shared a light moment with some of the country’s richest as they relaxed after four long days of investor meetings. He sat on a couch with Sabin Aboitiz, while fellow bilyonaryos Tessie Sy-Coson of the SM Group, Lance Gokongwei of the Gokongwei Group, Enrique Razon of ICTSI, and Kevin Tan of Alliance Global looked on.
“We thank the Private Sector Advisory Council for organizing yesterday’s discussion of US investment pledges to the Philippines,” the President said as the bilyonaryos wrapped up their US trip.
“Their competencies and resources, combined with our government’s framework and regulations, will create a favorable environment for investment and economic growth for our country,” he added.
It was Tan who gave the “Magnificent 7” tag for him and the bilyonaryos who joined Marcos in the US.
The Megaworld boss’ Instagram post showed him and his fellow bilyonaryos grinning widely as they helped pitch the Philippines as an attractive investment destination.
