Bilyonaryo Helen Yuchengco-Dee has resigned as chairperson and director of EEI Corp. after her family sold a big chunk of its shares to RYM Business Management a week ago.
Yuchengco-Dee, who has been chairperson since 2017 and director since 2002, will be replaced in a temporary capacity as chairperson by EEI director and former RCBC president Lorenzo Tan.
The Yuchengco-controlled House of Investments reduced its stake in EEI to 35 percent after selling its 20 percent stake to RYM for P1.25 billion or P6 per share.
Bilyonaryo.com was the first to report the Yuchengcos plan to sell 20 percent stake in EEI.
