Brace yourself for the impact on your budget; Petron raises LPG prices by 85 centavos per kg

Petron Corp. will implement a P0.85 per kilogram increase in liquefied petroleum gas prices effective 6 AM on May 1.

This translates to an increase of P9.35 per 11 kilogram cylinder.

“AutoLPG prices will likewise increase by P0.48 per liter at the same time. These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of May,” Petron said.

On the other hand, Unioil said there will be a price rollback effective May 2.

It said diesel should go down by P1.20 to P1.40 per liter while gasoline should go down by P1.40 to P1.50 per liter.

Semirara unit fined over reporting lapses

Consunji-led Semirara Mining and Power Corp. (SMPC), has been fined P400,000 by the Philippine electric power regulator for non-compliance with reportorial requirements related to unplanned outages at its coal-fired power plants in 2019.
